New Members' information
Would you like to become a
member ?
Please email
Lynne Leggat. You will then be invited to attend
rehearsals at the Thespians headquarters, Woodside
Hall, Walsworth Road, Hitchin (next to the Queen
Mother Theatre).
Arrangements will
be made for you to take a simple private audition to
determine exactly what voice (soprano, alto, tenor,
baritone or bass) you are. Non singing members are
always welcome to help backstage with make-up,
scenery and wardrobe etc.
Rehearsals for the choir take
place on Tuesday evenings and show rehearsals take
place on Thursday evenings, both rehearsals from
7.30pm until 10.00pm.
Would you like to become a
patron ?
If you feel you
would like to be involved in the Society but do not
wish to become a member, why not become a patron ?
Patrons receive
priority booking for all productions and concerts
and are invited to attend social functions and
'in-house' activities at Woodside Hall. They can
attend the Society's Annual General Meeting and are
kept fully informed of Thespians news by receiving
our bi-monthly Newsletter 'Spotlight'.
There is a minimum
subscription of £10 (although more is always
welcomed!) to cover administration and postage
costs. If you would like to become a patron then
please email
Lynne Leggat.
Would you like to become a
Sponsor ?
Whilst the Society
is currently self financing, it is becoming
increasingly expensive to stage full scale
productions and concerts. Our out-goings consist of
many items including hire charges for theatres and
halls, advertising, orchestral and professional
fees, and royalties. If we are to continue staging
large scale events we would like to attract
sponsorship from local businesses to help cover our
costs.
Our sponsors names
would be added to our publicity, appearing on our
posters and programmes. Sponsors would also receive
free tickets. We would be willing to discuss other
benefits with the sponsoring organisation.
If you (or your
company or business) would be willing to become one
of our sponsors then please email
