Millie Dillmount, a small town girl from Kansas, finds herself in New York wishing to become “Thoroughly Modern” by marrying for money instead of love. She meets fun loving but poor Jimmy while starting to work for pompous but rich Mr Trevor Graydon. Millie decides it is Mr Graydon she must marry. With witty sub-plots and a variety of characters there is never a dull moment before Millie finally gets her man – but which one?
